Unknown Tank ihabitant
Anybody know what this thing is? It is shaped like an octupus, Ititially I thought it was a bristle worm.....Best pic I can get

if its a brittle star then no, they keep to themselves. i had one in my old tank. it mostly stayed on the glass
its a little hard to tell from the picture without seeing the center of his body, but judging from the angle, i would really think it is a brittle star.

It's a brittle star and they are scavengers. They will not hurt a thing. I have lots in my tank. You get them when you buy LR. When I feed my fish, you can see them all over the place trying to catch some of the food. Kinda neat to watch.
