MP40W Placement Question (in 90 Gal)

Where do folks generally place their MP40W's? I've kept mine as close to the sand bed as I can without causing sand storms or drastic movement of the bed, assuming that the returns from my sump and overflow are generating enough water movement toward the top of the water column.

Are there advantages to keeping it toward the center, or to moving it higher?

Even when I keep my Vortech up higher I still get a good undertoe.

most put them a couple inches down from the top and get great flow everywhere in the tank. Mine is 8" down in my 27" deep tank.
