Brown film algae in fuge

I have this brown film algae in my fuge. It's only in the chamber with my chaeto ball that's rolling. Most likely because of the daylight bulb running during night hours. Is there something that will "eat" or remove this stuff like some kind of snail? I don't have any sand any there. Just my heaters and my tumbling ball. If not, I guess my only option is to scrape it off.

Sounds like you may not have enough flow in there. Is it really deep such that the water flow doesn;t really penetrate the area in question?

I have an adjustable gate where I can adjust the height of the fuge. I was going to put a DSB but decided not too so I can get the tumbleweed effect. I have a T coming from my return pipe with just enough flow to get the chaeto rolling. I can also adjust the flow with the gate valve. Should I clean it up and put in a DSB? Will nerite snails eat this stuff? I also have some cerith snails, will they eat it?
