Sock cleaning
Once you soak the dirty filter socks in .10 bleach solution and let them dry, is there any way to get all the dirt out? I thought this aforementioned cleaning process only killed off the "bad germs" but does it really clean out all the big particles too?

When I pull out the dirty ones they get rinsed and put in a bucket. Once I get 8 or 10 I put them all in the washer with 1/4 cup bleach on HOT with double rinse. When they are done I soak them in a bucket with RO and chlorine remover for 24 hours. Than they are hung out to dry. I ordered 25 below at a really good price from the below link. PONG100P4P |

When you put them in the washing machine, aren't you afraid of soap residue?

I've been washing filter socks in the washing machine for about 6 yrs. I've not experienced anything that would lead me to believe that I'm adding soap residue or adding chlorine to m7y tank. I wash the socks one time, with bleach, then air dry them. I have 5-6 socks and I just put the recently washed one at the back of the line.
