How long do test kits last?
Mine is API and I've had it for over 10 months. When do these tests go bad? I've heard it's about a year.

Salifert test kits have a expiration date, mine are supposed to be expired in 2013. I imagine API has a similar time frame.

My LFS told me 1 year after I open them. No expiration date on them.

I've been told (from not so reliable sources) about a year and then its time to replace them.
I really don't know myself but given the sensitive nature of the reagents and how easy it is to mess up a test procedure I figure a year is probably pushing it anyway.

Well I checked my first test date and it was 9/12/08 so I'm guessing I need to replace it. I'll call API tomorrow just in case.
