So I been trying to figure this out. I have two true perc clown fish that are in the pictures below. When the lights go out at night on the tank, The smaller clown will play in the hammer coral like crazy all night and once the light pops on he runs away and doesn't touch it. The bigger one also goes near it sometimes at night and plays, but not like the other one. Why only at night? Never has he gone near it during the daytime and they have done this for almost a month now. Any ideas? lol such weird clown behaviors........

it could be that whenever you walk into the room, he starts begging for food. try staying away from the tank, but where you can still see it

Well I know its not that hes begging for food. Cause Ive watched far away quite a bit and they never go in it during the day at all. Thats why I find it is so weird. The inflated thing at night could be I guess. But why not at all during the day than? They dont go near it even.....

Probably because they aren't looking for protection during the day. At night, they can't see as well so the hammer becomes protection.
