Where can I get my ATI lighting fixture fixed? Electrician?
So I received my new bulbs today for my ati 6x54 watt powermodule and I put them in. I fired it up and the middle slot, made a real loud snap sound and I saw some electrical current. It sounded like I blew a fuse. Now the problem is, the two slots, middle and last, where I had the problems initial will not fire up anymore but the other two does fire up. The initial problem was that I had to turn the switch on off and then on again to get all 4 bulbs to light. These 4 bulbs are sharing the same 'on' 'off' switch.
Now when I unplug it, it causes everything to go down thats plugged into the wall outlet and I have to go to my breaker to restart everything. Please help me asap because my tank is loaded with sps and I have no temporary lighting fixture. Thanks -Mike Last edited by RDMike; 11/03/2009 at 05:04 PM. |

If it is brand new oe under warranty, call Greg @ reefgeek.com for warranty repair.
If you are comfortable with minor electrical repairs, he can tell you how.

Sounds like a crossed/loose wire if you are seeing sparks. Can you take the end opposite the fan exit off(unplug it ) and see if you can see any obviously loose connections?
You could still call Greg, I doubt he'd have a problem giving a few minutes to help at least find whats wrong.
