a good fish (wrasse) that will live in a 20long with a maroon clown of good size; that will eat red planeria. i have also been told that target mandrins will eat these flatworms...any experience with this?

I think a sixline wrasse will eat planaria. They get to be pretty feisty but I think in your case with just a clown you'd be fine.

Or use flatworm exit instead, just be careful to follow the instructions.

I just bought a green mandarin, the kind that very few people say eat red planeria. One week in and the red planeria is almost gone and I have one fat happy green mandarin. Now as a disclaimer it may not work for you. I have been on the other end buying and trying everything people said to do on the forum. I took a gamble and it worked for me. In my research the best planeria eating wrasse seems to be the genus melanarus wrasse. My LFS doesn't ever carry it and I was going to order online. The next best is supposedly the six line. I just don't like six line's as they get mean. At least the one I had two years ago did.

hope this helps. On another note, I am very against chemical erradication i.e. flatworm exit. I have read too many people torching their entire tank and I have thousands of dollars worth of corals and would never risk that. just my two cents.

Yellow coris wrasse will also work.
