ID Help Needed
I need assistance in identifying this snowflake looking creature that appeared in my tank about five days ago. The creature is less than 1mm in size, close to .5mm to .7mm. I have not found any larger than that, but they are multiplying at a staggering rate.
If any of y'all have have found this in your tank, how did you get rid of it ![]() |

hydromedusae (probably not spelled right)
They don't harm much, just baby clowns and seahorses (anything really small I guess). I'll guess that your tank hasn't been up for more than a couple months? Their population will rise and fall with available food in the tank. Don't be too concerned with them. |

Thanks for all of the information and for such quick responses. It has taken away a lot of the worry I had.

I had them in my tank for a while. Never harmed a thing, and eventually disappeared as the tank matured.
