Rimless aquarium builder questions.
I am looking at having a 48Lx24Dx21H rimless aquarium built here locally. I have found a guy here that has built several rimless aquariums and his build quality seems awesome. I just want to know what things I should be looking for on his tanks to make sure they are of very good quality. What silicone should he be using? and what size gap between the glass? All his tanks have beveled and polished edges and look really good. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks. |

The width of the glass. Ask in the DIY section of the forum and they'll tell your the precise thickness the glass should be for your dimensions.

He said he would use 1/2" glass on this tank. Should the bottom of the tank be eurobraced?
