green spotted puffer tank

I ended up with a gsp and have decided that I really like them. He currently lives is a 40g long mixed reef with a scribbled rabbitfish and watchman goby. Of course, he has eatten all my snails and any that I add. Thankfully I live near the Gulf of Mexico and can easily find zig zag perwinkles to feed him. Yesterday I bought two urchins in an attempt to help solve my algae problems on the glass. I have some aiptasia, but I'm not sure if it will just eat the shrimp. Anyone know if peppermint shrimp are okay with a young gs puffer? What other fish are safe to keep in the tank with him and my corals? I know the corals are a risk with puffers, but I am hopeful that keeping his teeth filed down on snails will keep him from going after the few hard corals I have.
