Toadstool leather and algae ?
I have read that a toadstool leathers polyps may not come out for a while after you acclimate it, upto weeks. If the polyps odont come out for a week or so, could algae form ontop of the polyps and cause them to never come out?

Toadies like most leathers like some decent flow which should inhibit algae growth. They'll also shed a waxy like mucus coat on occasions which will rid any algae.
But weeks without polyp extension seems a bit long to me. Ensure you have good water and flow over the coral and you'll be fine.

Yeah I am hopin it will come out all the time, I mean it comes out every now and then, but It doesn't stay out, Im a bit worried. I got some epoxy really near the base of the coral, I can't tell if It's actually touching it or not, wwill that hurt it?

My leather took about a month to fully extend its polyps when I first got it. I wouldn't be terribly worried. That said, are you seeing algae actually growing on it? I wouldn't think that to be a good thing..

I have 4 different leathers in my DT all of them have closed for weeks at one time or another. never could pinpoint a reason sometimes it is as simple as putting my hand in the tank to do some cleaning and brushed against it
