FO Clown tank
I've been in and out of this hobby way too many times. It's taking a toll on my memory of all the rules. I'm back again. I'm planning on a FO clown tank 29G or 30G tank. 2 clowns.. that's it. I'm hoping they'll pair up and mate sometime down the line.. Maybe I'll switch it to a reef, buy lights etc, but for right now, it's going FO with true percs.
I just ordered up a couple books I already owned at one time, joy wilkersons and the Hoff book on breading marine fish. Here is where I'm going a little blank. I was planning on doing a sump underneath the tank to hide all the uglies. These ??'s are going to sound sooo redundant. 1. FO tank...how beneficial is RODI water for a fish only tank. Recommended, or just dechlorinate the water? I know for reefs and inverts.. RODI water is essential. 2. Should I use a mechanical filter... or a skimmer. I'm going to keep reading online.. hopefully i'll find some answers there. I was thinking of doing a sump to hide the uglies... that would make the water parameters more stable... LR requires more than the standard aquarium lighting correct? |
