need advice on Tunze 9020 for in-tank use

I need advice on how to convert a Tunze 9020 from in-sump use to in tank use without the normally required parts. I am considering buying a tunze 9020 skimmer. Unfortunately it is set up for in-sump use but I want to convert it to in-tank use, the problem is the guy selling it cant find the parts for in-tank use. Does anybody have advice on how one could do the conversion without the normally required parts (there are quite a few of them), or perhaps someone is using one in-sump and has no plans to ever use it in-tank and can sell or even give me the parts. I have looked over the tunze website and getting all the individual parts would cost a bundle. I have a 9010 running right now on my 80 gal which I really like and want to try a 9020 on my 330 gal in tank, in an effort to go sump-free
