Reservoir tank for Kalk top off?
I currently top off with Kalkwasser from a 5-gallon jug that I've cut holes into. I'm wondering if there's a better way to do it. I'd like a bigger container-maybe a 10-gallon jug--and I'd like it to be sealed better. I don't want to pay $200 for a kalk stirrer...is there a better option?

depending on how much room you have just get the biggest food grade container you can fit with a lid. I use a 55 gal brute can.

Having it sealed isn't important for actual kalk dosing. I don't know what specific space requirements you have but like detroit_fan said, anything food grade with a lid to keep stuff from falling in should work fine.

The RM Brutes work pretty well in this application. I also use a 44G container and move the limewater to the tank via a peristalic pump (LM3). You can get the brutes, with lids, down to 10G size.
