rocks
i was wondering how many days can live rock be outside of the tank exposed to air? do i immediatly have to put it in the tank?

not sure how long it can be out but rock is sometimes shipped in damp newspaper. If you do leave it out you will have die off. so if your biological filter is not established enough you may cause a cycle.

If its truly live/cycled rock with organisms living in/on it, then it can't be left out of water for even a day. It needs to be kept wet for the life in/on it to survive. When it is shipped, its usually shipped in wet newspaper or something similar to help keep it wet, but some life is still lost. HTH.
