Kenya was my first coral that I had in my tank. I had similar issues with it where it would look great but about once per month it would either not open at all or look a bit peeked like yours. If there is another in the tank I would guess it is not your parameters making it look like this. I would give it a few more days. It will likely turn around. These corals are like weeds and pretty indestructible. Worst case scenario, this one dies and you frag your other healthy one and place the frag in this ones place. Good luck.

Did you actually touch it or what makes you feel like it is hard?

I wonder if there is some sort of chemical warfare going on between corals. Do you use any carbon in your filtration?

I think its just part of its normal cycle. As mentioned before, it'll go through that once a month or so. Give it a few days and I believe it will be back to normal.

Same thing happened to a couple of large kenya trees i had. One completely melted, the other I thought was gone too but I left the plug in the tank.It was just a blob at this point, the size of a eraser tip . Over the next few weeks i began adding more trace elements than before. The blob is about 3 in high now, and my other kenya's have shown more growth.

Yeah mine has done the same. seems like it "sulks" for a while. mine goes black but with in a couple of days it opens again and its colour returns and all is good. Don't write it off yet.
