Unhappy MP10 and Cyano ....

I currently have an MP10 in my tank on the right side of the tank. I would say roughly 1/4th of the right side of the tank has cyano in it. I don't seem to have a lot of cyano anywhere in the tank.

The only thing I can think of is that yes, while the MP10 under tow does grab water and pull it up, it is also dropping nutrients onto the rock and sand bed .. which is resulting in the cyano build up.

I have also go a K3 in the left back panel glass point towards the center of the tank to help keep stuff suspended, but still not having the best of luck. Anyone got some suggestions for me?

I don't think that'd be the case. I would maybe put the MP10 down lower or on an opposite tank wall to push water at that area and keep everything in suspension.

That said, I'd check your phosphate levels. I'd think that's mainly the culprit.

If the nutrients are there cyano will grow. It doesn't have anything to do with the pump. Cyano is caused by lighting, water flow and nutrients. It is always one of or a combination of the three.
