coralline algae
Is coralline algae beneficial to the tank in any way, other than asthetically? One person said it was a plague as it clogs up the LR.

It presence on surfaces retards and inhibits the growth of other less preferred algae. Also, it is indicative of a healthy tank.

I consider it a plague only because I hate having to scrape it off of my glass and pumps. I tried an urchin, but they just bulldoze frags. |
