Goby stocking advice
Hey guys, as an "extra" with my LR for my 20 gallon tank, I got a tiger goby. This goby currently is about 3/4" long. It seems VERY skiddish, but being a new addition I am not really worried about it, as I assume it is normal.
I was really planning on getting a green clown goby, and my LFS has a few in stock. Would having 2 gobies in such close quarters be a no-no? I really like the green clown goby. How big, and what kind of comparable personality will the tiger have? Looking up tiger goby, they seem to all show up as tiger watchman goby. The one I have is this:

The "watchman gobies" typically live in caves at the rock/sand interface, The clown gobies spend their time perching on the rock/corals at the top of the tank. Although they're both gobies they won't be competeing for territory and should be fine together.

agu, appreciate that. I have found him everywhere from the sand to the VERY HIGHEST point in the tank. Looking up the tiger watchman, it does not really look like what I have. Maybe what I have is just a jvenile? It came from the gulf of mexico, could this be a different goby? Thanks again.

That is a Tiger goby, it's very similar to a neon goby. They stay small and are super hardy. Mine is very inquisitive of me and swims right up to the front of my tank and watches me as I watch him. Believe it or not he's the "bully" in my tank. But I say that almost jokingly. He's the first one to "initiate" new tankmates, but he leaves them alone once he tells them he's boss and later even hange out with them. Great little guys. My other tankmates are as follow
2 green banded (costa rician) gobies 2 Red striped Trimma gobies 1 Spike fin goby (Flaming prawn goby) 1 Upside down goby (looks very similar to the tiger goby but is slightly bigger and swims upside down) 1 Red Scooter Blenny 1 Blue Neon cleaner goby 1 Red-headed neon goby 1 tailspot blenny 3 Sexy shrimp 1 cleaner shrimp Congratulations, he'll quickly become one of your favorite fish in your aquarium.
