Ice cap 4x54w t5 not firing two bulbs, any ideas
I got my 4x54w retrofit from ice cap today and after setting it up only two of the bulbs are lighting. Anyone have any ideas why the other two aren't? I have double checked the wires to the end caps to make sure they are in place and that the bulbs are well seated and I'm out of ideas.
Thanks |

When I switched one bulb from each the bulbs the same pair of end caps lit up. The other side seemed like the elements on one end were working on both bulbs. They were orange and looked like they were trying to heat up. This was the red and yellow double wires, the end with the brown didn't look like it was doing anything. When I pulled out one bulb of this pair the other looked lit at the one side, only like an inch of the bulb though, definitly not working properly. So it looks like it could be the brown wire supplying one end of the bulbs maybe? Any ideas. I only switched one bulb from each pair so I know 3 bulbs work for sure I.

Ok switched out the other bulbs, all four of them work for sure, its deffinitly the balast or the wiring, probably the brown wire. Any ideas, I already sent an email to the vendor.

remove and re-seat the wiring in the connectors just in case, stranger things have happened. Worst thing that will happen it will cost you some time..
