Super actinic t5 bulb question

Hey guys,
So i just replaced my bulbs last week and i noticed my super actinic bulb is turning grey, The super actinic this replaced was the same way. in fact when i took the old one out is was dark grey and even black looking. So i'm wondering is this normal? It just seems weird that this would happen twice in a row...
Thanks in advance,
Nick

My super actinic was very dim after only 3 weeks of use. I no longer run this bulb as it has happened twice now, not to mention it has horrible PAR.

I can't think of the brand off the top of my head i wanna say ATI? It does seem dull looking but i just though it was the bulb it's self since all my other bulbs are white while this one is grey after having a few hours on it...
