Let the flame begin
I took down my tank and have an itech200 left over. Would it be overduE for a 50 dt with 40 sump? I think I'd oversize but should I try it?

Its a skimmer right? If you're worried about over-skimming I suppose you could just run it part of the day...

Why would anyone flame you?
You could run the skimmer part-time, or just run it. What's the worst that happens? You pull too much out? Great! Feed more =)

Flame
I have found much to my surprise that people do not get flammed here as on other sites. And I really never see the dread title of NOOB, and do not like to label people as such. You should have no problems getting answers to simple questions.
Skimming part of the day is a great idea, or just turn down the air intake and get a very dry skim. |

Re: Let the flame begin
I am a heavy feeder I fed my fishes 3 times a day (anthias). Since I will have an apex i can adjust the time if it seem that I overskimming. Great skimmer for sure.

I have an I-Tech 200 on my 65 right now. With sump its about 80G total, and it works great. I got it big because I am planning on upgrading, but its working fine right now.

just run the skimmer part time if you are really worried about overskimming...not sure if I agree with the fact that you can overskim but that's just my two cents
