frag tank lighting

im having a frag tank built for next wave and was thinking of going with an 8 bulb tek light. would that be a little overkill? the frag tank is going to be 48lx24wx13t. also the bulb combination i was going to use is
front
ati blue +
procolor
blue +
midday
kz fiji pink
midday
blue+
blue +

think this will look good? going for both par and color.

you must be going off old buld recomdations, the new ge daylights are not likt the old ones. i would drop the pink and use a fiji purple.

i know uvl makes a pink looking bulb but i dont rember what it is.

what look you going for? blue or white.

personally i would run a pair of halides, cheaper to swap bulbs out every year. the phoenix bulbs seem good for a year, that's about $40 a year in bulbs alone ad its cheaper to get into 2 halides. @ 13" deep you don't need much as far as wattage. in the end it all depends on what type of corals you would have in your frag tank.

All sps, maybe a few chalices. I have halides over my display but they put off a lot of heat. That's why I was going t5. I don't want it too white or blue. Just nice coloration and growth
