Need a new skimmer pump

Current running a euro reef cs6-1 with a sedra 5000. The sedra is just too loud for my tastes. Can anyone recommend a better pump or a tip to making the 5000 quiet?

Not sure what the specs are on the Sedra, but this last weekend I saw a skimmer running a Tunze Hydrofoamer pump and it made NO noise... Like none, zero, zip... I'm ordering the small one for my Vertex skimmer shortly.

I was also going to recommend a Tunze. I have 1 on my I-Tech and its awesome, and very quiet.

It should, its a skimmer pump. But I'm not 100% sure. Mine came with the skimmer.

Here is a link to one of them. There is others though, I don't know which size you would need.

I have a sedra 5000 running for quite a while and don't find it noisy at all, of course I may be a bit deaf. Try a good cleaning, make sure the rubber feet are intact as well. The volute on these pumps can be turned in the retaining notches quite a bit, when reassembling I rotate until it stops.
You may also be getting vibration noise.
