SCWD valve opinions???
has anyone out there used this new SCWD valve? i bought the 1" model for a 90 gallon aquarium i got from a former reefer, but he had all the holes in this tank drilled in the BACK of the tank, about 2" below the trim ring, all of which are on the right hand side, all beside each other. im limited on space with them being so bunched up (the holes) so i have kinda concluded that im going to have to use some flexible tubing on parts of the drain/return lines, even though ive been told that that is not a good idea. Can anyone tell me a better way, or give me some feedback on what they would do with the hole location the way it is? A problem im running into is with the holes where they are, the right side gets plenty of circulation and motion with this valve, but on the other end of the tank i dont get much goin on at all. Also, will this flexible tubing be a pitfall for me? if i go hard plumbing, ultimately there will be some horizontal sections of drain to get the water to the other end of my sump/fuge where the bubble trap located. (this is at the complete other end of the stand!!) Skimmer is right below the bulkheads with one of the drain lines plumbed directly to avoid the need for an injection pump (reef octopus DNW-110 recirc) with a ball valve for flow regulation. Let me know your thoughts. Im dyin to get started but dont want to do it twice. Nothing is glued...so suggestions/changes are welcome.
