Midas Blenny Question
So I'm trying to plan ahead and decide what fish I'm going to put into my tank.
I'm looking for a bottom dweller--a fish to rule the bottom so that my tanks feels more complete/balanced, if you know what I mean. The midas blenny looks beautiful and seems to have a lot of personality from what I've seen in some videos, but it looks like when it comes out of it's hiding place to play it swims in the middle of the tank like most other fish. Is this correct? Just want some input from people in the know. Thanks. |

they spend ZERO time on the bottom of the tank. they pretty much stay up in the water column when swimming.

Agreed, most blennies swim mid-high and perch mid to high. Rarely at the bottom.

When I had my midas he didn't perch like typical blennies. He swam about 95% of the time.

Midas Blenny is a planktivore. It swims and takes food from the water column.
for a good bottom dweller look into the Engineer Goby
