Over a week later and still no watchmen goby

Hi everyone,

I got a yellow watchmen goby for my 20 gallon over a week ago and I still haven't seen him. He hid under a rock and I haven't seen him come out yet...but there is a mound of sand beside the rock which he hid under. Do you think he'll be a little less shy if I get him a tiger pistol shrimp? Anything I can do to help this depressive behaviour?!

Normal. Just be patient and don't move rocks looking for him. You could crush him accidentally.

My Randall's goby was shy and would only come out when he was hungry. Then I got him a red banded pistol shrimp and he all of a sudden got a boost of confidence and thinks he is a tough guy

Now he is always standing guard at the burrow entrance.
