Be ready for a long and difficult battle. First thing is to find the source of the problem and correct it. It almost always comes down to overfeeding and/or using tap water (which is essentially the same thing as tap water provides phosphates and nitrates that algae feed on). Until you conquer the food source, all your efforts are in vain. Running Phosban or other phosphate removers could help. Tell us more about your tank and maintenance and we can get more specific.
