What bulb for coralvue ballast?
I am getting a 250 watt electronic coralvue ballast for my frag tank... Im ot too worried about color so what bulb will give me the best gowth with a white color. I know certain bulbs require certain ballasts and certain baasts work better with certain bulbs but what works great on a coralvue ballast. I was thinkin a reeflux 12k but im stupid when it comes to lighting.

If you want white color 10k is the choice and you can supplement with Actinic VHO or T5 HO. The higher the number (10k,12k,14k 20k), the blue will it get.
I run Coralvue electronic ballast. I try reeflux 12k and 20k. The 12k give me the better growth but too white for me. Right now I run 20K radium. I love it. The growth rate is good but the tank look blue without supplement Actinic. |

ya i know i run pheonix 14k DEs on my reef and i like the hint of blue they put out but im not worried about color in my frag tank so i would rather go with a lower temp bulb to get the better growth... mostly im just wondering which brand bulb to go with a coralvue electronic ballast

In that case 12k reeflux then. Check this TOTM on lighting section.
