Reef Keeper Lite or Aquacontroller 2

As the title states. I have the opportunity to trade an RKL for an aquacontroller 2.

Is this a worthwhile trade? How much better (if at all) are the AC 2's?

Thanks

So you currently have a RKL? If so, what don't you like about it? Why would you want to trade it?

I have an RKL... No complaints really. Just would like to be able to run a few more devices and connect the controller to my laptop. A local deal might be coming up.

DA says they're going to have that interface for the controller to be viewable/controlable through your laptop. I believe it's called myReef. Might want to check the DA website for release date.

I was thinking the same thing. Just doing some more reading and it looks like the AC2's are out of date. I'm just going to stick with my RKL for now.

Actually the only date that DA posted for the release of myReef was the end of 2009 and then that was pushed to April of this year. Hopefully it will happen in April.

It isn't obsolete at all. Out dated is a better description. An ACjr today will still work just as good as they did two, three, or more years ago. The current latest controller designs are more capable and have more features, but that doesn't make the older ones "obsolete".
