Reeflo 250 Pro collection cup and needlewheel upgrades still available??????
I have approx 1 year old reeflo 250, but I have system upgrade that is taking me towards the 900plus gallon range. and I need the longer neck and needlewheel of the pro kit. a
Anyone know if they are still available? If not I've got a very expensive doorstop. |

TY Erik, but when you try to order them it says out of stock on both items.
The reeflo 250 appears to be discontinued as well. Coralvue, the new vendors/owner? or rights to produce the sequence line sent me the same. I wrote to RS and still no reply. Figured I better get other feelers out for someone selling of the parts NIB or whatever. About to turn on the taps on the biggie and if I don't get my hands on the kit soon I guess I'll have to fire up the bullet 3 in addition to the reeflo. I didn't desire running an extra 300 watts just to have the correct amount of skimming for 900plus gallons of SPS delight. |

It wouldn't be hard at all to have someone make you an extended cup, I'm sure GEO could whip you one up easily. All you really need to do is add some length to the neck, i can't remember the exact diameter but i was thinking it was around 5.4" inside you can cut your old neck and weldon in a longer piece, it will have two seams but won't be too bad.
reefersaquariums.com makes stuff as well, that style just uses a keyhole flange, they still sell the needlewheels on, skimmerdiy.com Just a few options i've looked at/used when i've built skimmers |

Yeah I'm pretty sure I can get the neck part duplicated with the longer neck, I will not be cutting the old one up for if I go from 900 gallons back down to 300 to 400 I can just swap back. The needlewheel was really the biggest thing I was sweating. But I will go the route of duplicating the flange and neck as the RS unit if I cannot get one of theirs. (Still waiting to hear from RS and after my ankle is 100% I will be getting the monster rolling.) Gonna give RS a couple more days before I begin tracking down a builder and ordering 2 of the needlewheel peices. (Funny, the skimmer DIY links never came up in google searches I tried in many different configurations) Thanks again. |

Sorry CleveYank. I did not see your Email. We no longer carry the Pro Accessories for the Reeflo Skimmers. Contacting George at GEO would be a great idea if he can somehow create a riser for the neck which shouldn't be all that hard since the 250 model use keyways to hold the cup to the body.
