Overlfow box and mag 7

Will a eshopps 300 be ok with a mag 7 pump. Just making sure the mag will not be putting water into the tank too fast.

way to much flow for that overflow.

that overflow is only rated at 300 gph. even with 4 ft head that pump will still put out more then 400gph. mag5 would even be to big.

could I put a ball valve on it to cut it back?
