Question ??? What pump to use with Two Little Fishes Phosban Reactor??

I'm ordering a reactor today, just ownderingif a maxi jet 1200 will work as the pump for it????
tnak is 100 gallons, adn the reactor will bein the stand next to the sump so it'll have to push about 4 feet of head, if I pump it back into the tank, drawing from the sump....

Depends on what you are putting inside. For phosphate removing media, you can use the maxi jet 1200, but that's probably going to be a lot more flow that you need. Personally - I would use a Maxijet 600 or MJ 400. It uses a lot less energy thatn the MJ 1200. During the summer, your tank will thank you.

I have the same reactor and use the Maxijet 400... works pretty well, especially since you have the valve on the reactor to control the amount of flow going in.

Without sounding like a jerk try rereading your posts before you post it. I had to reread it several times to make out what you were saying. All you need is a Maxi-jet 400. Just recirculate the water within your sump. Maxi-jets have a hard time with head pressure. my recomendation would be to use a tee from your sump pump and tee it off that. You would be eliminating another item that has to be plugged in. The Phos Rx really only need about 30 gph.

I just used a spare MJ900 and it is far more flow than required. I have to keep it dialed down with the valve quite a bit.

I can only assume you are talking about my typing prowess, of which, is obviously negligable. I was typing fast, and so therefore I skipped some spaces. I do think the question was entirely understandable, But perhpas not??????
