Coming to the end of my cycle

I am almost done cycling my tank maybe another week or 2 tops, when should i start running my skimmer?

On my tank I'd perform 20% water changes in successive number of days once the cycke is completly done. Then maybe run the skimmer to just to help areate the newly established tank. I wouldn't necesarily collect the skimate for another week or two.. Just so there is some food source for the newly populated bacteria continue to grow.

I ran mine draining back into the tank during the whole cycle. Just to get the skimmer broken in.

Current Tank: 20 Gallon tall, 4-bulb t5 HO, Eshopps psk75H, ac-70 fuge. So far, green clown goby, striped goby, more gorillas than I wish I had, 5 SPS frags, 3 LPS Frags, 1 Softee, Turkey Wing Clam.

Plan for the future: 120 gallon 4ft glass tank.

Current Tank Info: 20 gallon tall Reef Tank

+1 on running it during the whole process. I still noticed a nice ammonia spike in mine even with it running 24/7.

I think it has been done both ways. If there is a TON of die off it is best IMO to run it during the whole process.
