I've never heard of that skimmer. Some pictures might help.
I split these off of another thread, since it's a new topic.

Is the skimmer in the sump or external? They must have a web site or call customer service for help. I looked it up on google, looks like a standard skimmer similar to euroreef. Basically a plug and play.

I would learn to post pictures and then show us the disassembled unit. It seems pretty self explanatory, but then again I remember the difficulty I had when I got my first skimmer.

looks like a basic set-up to me. I have no personal experience, so I can't really help you specifically, but if you can't figure it out, call their customer service, and they should be able to help you out.

I bought that skimmer a while back, and I don't remember it coming with any assembly literature either. Set it out on a table, lay out all the parts and try to match it up to the picture from aquacave.
Here is a link to their website, the pictures are a little clearer and may give you a little more insight. http://www.vertexaquaristik.com/prod...ies/in-100.php |

Ok, from what I remember.
1.) Turn the pump on it's side and slide it into the pump bracket, tighten down the set screws, plug the pump output into the hole in the skimmer body. 2.) Assembly the PVC T, strait pieces and elbow as in the picture on Vertex's website. 3.) Slide that assembly onto the elbow that is attached to the skimmer body. 4.) Put the riser tube into the top of the T and set it to the open position. 5.) Connect the airhose between the riser pipe and the nipple on the pump. 6.) Put the pvc cap on top of the riser tube. 7.) Put the thing in the sump and put the collection cup on. 8.) Plug it in. |
