Flow and placement of powerhead question

I decided to get rid of my CL and bought 2 koralia 4 powerheads instead. The quiet one pump I had gave me nothing but trouble since I got it, always getting stuck and it used about 10x the power of the powerheads.

I have a 56 gallon cube tank with a corner overflow. The LR is in the shape of an arch going from the overflow to the opposite corner of the tank. The tank is 30 inches wide 18 deep and 24 high. Where would you all place the powerheads for best effect?
This is what I came up with.
1-blowing towards each other from opposite sides of the tank
2-1 on each side of the back of the tank blowing towards the front center
3- or 1 on each side of the tank both helping to create a whirlpool effect
4-I have no idea what I am doing...

Thanks for the help on this noobish situation.
