RBTA losing tentacles (pic)

So I noticed that two of the tentacles on my RBTA look shriveled at the base, and then about 30 minutes later 1 of the tentacles was floating around in the tank.

All my paramaters are in check. Salinity is 1.027 and temp is between 78 - 82 throughout the entire day. I feed him directly once a week and he probably catches some stray pellets/mysis during my daily feedings.

Maybe the maroon is being rough with him? No crabs or shrimp that could clip the tentacles.

Any ideas?

I've seen one tentacle get twisted up like that on my GBTA. Mine happened in the middle of the tentacle rather than the base. I'm not sure if it fell off though. I wouldn't worry about it unless it keeps happening. Th rest of the animal looks fine.

looks like the tentacles got twisted up due to the motion of waving back and forth, just mho. This happened to my frog spawn but luckily it untwisted itself. Does it get a lot of flow?

2nd the twisting. happened to my condi when i had it. was fine afterwards. just be careful of the floating debris coming off of your anemone. fish/inverts could eat the pieces and could get sick because of it. heard many stories of bta going into powerheads and fish eating debris, stunning and killing themselves.

The flow is enough to make the tentacles sway in a natural motion, but nothing excessive. He hasn't moved, so I'm assuming he's fine. Just weird to see those tentacles.
