One thread on the same topic is generally enough.

Starting multiple threads using different titles with the same questions isn't really appropriate.

Im sure there is a million different threads on this site regarding lighting requirements, The fact is that this member is new here and obviously needs help. I dont think its really appropriate to be abrupt about answering their question.

2x 150w MH lighting should be enough to grow most things in a standard 60g. The rule i play it by is, 150w/175w up to 18" deep tank. 250w up to 24", and 400w over 24"-30". These are rough guides which would enable you to keep lps on the bottom and sps from pretty low to top.

Kelvin ratings.. 10000k will give you good growth and poor coloration, 20000k will give you poor growth good coloration. The trick is to find a good balance that would give you the color and the growth your gonna be happy with. For this reason most would use a 14000k bulb. Note* A 14k bulb from one manufacturer could be different to another.

Zebodog and Mr James, i apologise. I should have opened the links you sent before i opened my mouth, I diddnt realize they had the same thread starter.

Whitewater74, they a right, you'll probably get better results on here if you start only one thread on the same subject.

^Agree. If you go all the way to the bottom, you will see there may be 3,000-6000 people on at any one time. I know you may want immediate answers, but just let it marinate a bit. You will get your answer.

As to the lighting, I think 2-150's would be FINE. The difference between 10k and 14k is the color spectrum. The best way to learn about it is to go to a bulb-website(think reefgeek has a chart too) and just study the differences between the charts, and you will understand what they are and what they do. Basically 14000K bulbs are much more blue than 10000k bulbs.
