bubble algae on coral
I have what I believe is bubble algae on a branch of a frag. I'm sorry that I can't give the name of the coral. I don't see it anywhere else in the tank. Can I just take the frag out and slice off that branch so as to not contaminate the tank with spores. I was told that popping the bubbles in the tank may mean big trouble.

I have a touch of bubble algae on my Acan colony and my Sun's as well. I will pull them from the tank and *CAREFULLY* pluck/pry off the bubbles, then rinse in saltwater and pop it back in the tank.
Most of the time you can get the bubbles off without popping them. They are surprisingly resilient.

If it should pop while I'm removing the bubbles out of the tank, is rinsing in salt water going to be enough?
