particles in water column - not micro bubbles!
Hi, I've started a new 30g AIO reef tank, which has been cycling for almost 2 months (with cured LR and LS), and now has its first fish. I've upgraded to a Tunze nano skimmer and added a koralia 1, in addition to chemi pure elite, filter sponge and filter floss, and a mini-fuge with some chaeto.
For some reason, there are a lot of tiny particles in the water column. I thought they were micro bubbles at first, but upon closer examination realized they aren't. I tried everything- 10% water change, taking out the filter sponges and cleaning them, and turning all the pumps on and off - nothing works!! What could this be from, and how can I fix it?? Any input would be much appreciated. Only have a camera phone, so pics are not very helpful I'm afraid. |

What kind of fish did you add, any sand sifters?

I'm embarrassed to say a yellow tang- but I'm only holding him for a few weeks until his fin heals and all the algae on my LR is gone. However, the particles were there before I added him
