reeflux 12k

I am thinking about switching bulbs from XM 20k to Reeflux 12k , is there anyone that has reeflux 12k's? how do you like them? They will be powered by ARO electronic ballasts. Are they real white, or is there some blue in them?

I had them and really liked them. When money permits I'll be switching back. They are definately on the blue side. I didnt need to run actinics when I was using them. Currently I have XM10k's with VHO actinics, and it isnt as blue as the 12k's were alone.

Thanks, i originally had XM10k but they were to white for me, even with my T5s. Then went to XM20k and they are too blue. So i have been looking for something inbetween

Go with the reeflux 20k.. It has higher par than the 12k and is pretty much the same colour. check reef specialty for more info

Do you have a link to where the par values are compared?

I have had both and much prefer the 12K. In fact I just reordered a pair. Since adding them my corals have really done well (in consideration with water parameters). I still do run actinics with them, but it's more a force of habit than anything else. You won't be disappointed.
