Wheeler's Watchman question

Hi, question on this fish. Live Aquaria says it needs to be fed twice a day. Is that really necessary? And what would the reason be? Thanks!

I think most of the fish we keep are recommended to be fed twice a day. I feed once when i get home from work (5pm) and once before lights out (10pm). But i have only fed once a lot, with no ill effects.

A well established tanks will have a lot of pod food available as well..

Any idea on why this is recommended? I have a large tank for a goby (46g). Do wheelers eat pods?

My problem is that I leave the house while the fish are still "asleep." I get home late in the day and don't want to feed twice and fuel an algae bloom that's just getting under control.
