zoa and ricordea question
I am wanting to get some zoa's and ricordea's for the tank. My question is would they do ok being mounted to the side of a vertical rock. would they grow ok like that?

i have mine like that, they're fine as long as they get light. kinda hrd to mount them that way but its possible.

yea i would say it would really depend on flow and light in the area. even if you get them mounted to the vertical rock wether or not they stay there will depend on the light and flow.

That would be fine for them that is where they like to be anyways. They like to be out of direct light but not in shade and in a place with good water movement.

+1 to previous posters, vertical is fine as long as they have adequate light/flow.
I would suggest mounting them at the low side of where you want them to spread to. They tend to grow up towards the light, so if you put them low they will naturally spread upwards, and IME they grow faster when they have this option. Plus they're more likely to end up where you want them this way.
