Tank Help

Ok, I have an old 15G acrylic hex shaped tank that I bought on Craigslist. It had no light and so I bought a 12" coralife that has 2 18W 50 50.

The light went bad and Coralife said they discontinued the product. Rather then spend money on a new fixture for this old tank that isn't really conducive to reefing I thought I would just buy a new tank.

So I don't have much money and I'm considering one of the following:

14G Biocube with stand-$280

12G Nanocube with stand-$260

Any thoughts?

I would go with the 14 just for added water volume.

I dont know if you live near a (dont get mad at me guys) Petco, but they sell BC29 for 280, and at my lfs I can get a BC29HQI for another 120. The hqi has everything you need; heater, skimmer, a 150W HQI, and a built in fuge. This is good because you van do pretty much everything with it and you know you wont have to buy a whole buch of acessories to do what you want

However, dont forget you will need LR and sand, so you will be spending alot on that. If you want a reef tank I would use "The Package" from Tampa Bay saltwater, I used it with great success, as have my friends. The 15g package costs 215 and the 29 is 380. Just somthing to keep in mind
