Emergency power outage

Ok so last night at 7pm, the storm hit north nj and bye bye power in my town at least, i was super fortunate to go to kazmier's petshop they went there and waited for me at 11pm and sold me 2 hurricane stage 5 battery pumps, that take d batteries if the battery it came with hasnt been charged, so i have been running one air pump in each mixed reef tank i have (120) and (55). Ok so for now the power had just gone back on, who knows if it will stay on, but my main concern is water temp. It dropped down to 65 degrees, so far nothing seems to be dead in my tank, coral or fish. Any more advice i can do? Im mixing salt now and will do a water change tommorow morning, i don think its safe to do a water change only a few hours after mixing salt. Anything else i can do to try and save these tanks??

lol im in the same boat i lost power in brick at 1pm saturday and it just came back on. last night i was boiling and dripping water in to keep it around 76. and manually stirring the water i dont have any backup stuff so for a good 6 hours it went with nothing happening, woke up to my dad opening the door saying to help get a generator from out of the car. My one wrasse died and if it wasnt for him buying a generator all of my fish would have suffocated- the tank temp flirted around 75, Thank god it came back on but now i need a new regulator cause the power turning on and off made the thing that allows c02 bubbles to flow to get stuck open so im up the creek on that.

You could try to cover the tank in blankets to reduce the heat loss. Why don't you want to put the newly mixed salt water? As long as it's fully dissolved and adequately aerated then it should be fine, just add it slowly.
