Question Tank setup

I use to have this tank setup running about a year ago
but gave everthing to a LFS when I had to move. Now I'm ready to start up again and want to make sure everything is going to go right. I only had it for a few months the last time. It's a 24g nanocube with the 150w k2 viper light, and a stronger pump then it came with. The problem I had last time is that since it was a open top I found a
hair or really small feather from a pillow in it from time to time and I really didn't like it. I found a glass top online I could buy and was wondering if that would affect the quality of my light at all? I really don't plan on getting any hard corals, but I did want a good light. Besides the stuff it came with I have a uv filter and heater, but with a glass top that I would get
I'm worried I may need a chiller. Just really looking for some input that would help out. Little tempted to make a canopy over the light since it lights up the whole room. But would that also make more heat in the tank?

Thanks nick

The glass top will limit the water/air exchange, cut down on the amount of light transmitted and also built up heat in the tank by slowing down the evaporation rate which naturally cools the tank. Better to build a hood and keep the back open or add fans to the hood.

Definitely. +1

I always equate glass tops to freshwater tanks.

Thanks for the reply.
Alright so best would be just to leave it as a open top since it's a warm
light. What's a good thing to do about
finding a random thing in the tank? Just take whatever out with tongs?
Know of a better way then the tanks stock setup or is that pretty good? I only plan to have about 2 small fish and not any hard corals. I've done a lot of reading but even the books say all different things
