There are threads on both and in the end, you will have to come to a conclusion that is right for you!
I spent alot of time reserching lighting for my 180 build, and in the end I decided that the Pacific Sun untis were the right ones for me. I didnt want to have to go out and buy a seperate controller so that I could control my lighting and of course pricing played a role in my decision as well. I am hoping to have my tank setup this weekend and get my LED's mounted. |

thanks, i just got mu 30 gal going and watched the 250 watt halide take it from 73 to 81 degrees in 5 hours no heater on the tank yet temp via RKL. needless to say time for leds

yeah it sucks my temp flux is from 78.5-81.9 with a heater set to 76 :/ visually i prefer the AI unit but may just have to see what comes out in the next couple months i loved the vertex lumina teasers

Are you using a canopy for those halides? Are you running fans at all? What size tank?
