Middletown, CT help - new to the hobby
Hi all. My mother-in-law lives in Middletown, CT. After her most recent visit to Maryland where she saw our tank, she decided to start her own reef tank. This is an entirely new venture for her and is beginning slowly, starting with research and education - the smart way.
We've been in the hobby for a while so I have plenty of advice to offer. Unfortunately I know of no lfs in or near Middletown. She needs to find a reputable place(s) with knowledgeable staff to discuss, at length, equipment options that meet her needs and to simply gaze upon the beauty. She realizes she can buy equipment (and live stock when she gets to that point) online. However, she'd like to visit several places not too far a field to explore possibilities. Can anyone make any recommendations? Thanks so much. Last edited by unclfuzzy; 03/25/2010 at 04:24 AM. |

There is a Connecticut Forum here on RC - CTARS - she might want to check them out.
There is also a large conference in Connecticut at the end of April - CMAC V. It is open to the public and she should plan to come down - there will be some very good deals to be had.
