BTA Compatibility - Red & Green

Are RBTAs and GBTAs compatible? They'll be going into a nano tank with just a pair of clowns. I've heard that all BTAs might fight if they're not of the exact same lineage (clones). Any thoughts on this would be appreciated!

If they will fight, will they just sting each other and move to their own spots or will they fight sting till one dies?

Ive never heard that before... Sounds like a misguided rumor.
As long as its a BTA, it doesnt matter what color morph it is, it will get along with other BTAs
Edit: you can see in my Avatar pic i have 3 diferent color morphs touching...

its the 34. Nano is only 4 gallons(upgraded nanos lol), too small for an anemone.

Color morphs of the same species of anemones can be kept together --- assuming that you have enough room. I have kept different color morphs of LTAs, BTAs, and Haddonis without issue, with them even touching each other.

I have a RBTA and GBTA in a 15 gal. nano and they are fine together. They both moved to the same rock and are in constant contact with no ill effects.

Hope you aren't doing it in a 15 gallon too, because 2 (( let alone one )) BTA's will outgrow a 15 gallon. The last BTA that I had was 15+ inches when I sold it.

Thanks for the concern - I got hold of a strain that only gets to be about 4" max. I've seen crazier things done so I'm not too worried about it

Even if they are touching and not seeming to cause problems, they still can be fighting with each other. You never know. :P Just run carbon in your tank and it should be ok.

I've had a bit of a different experience with BTA's. I guess I'd be perpetuating the rumour... I have 3 types of BTA's. I have a red and green that are very similar in composition and another type of green that is quite different. When I started propagating the other 2 the latter started declining. They are not doing well at all in the same tank as the others. They will not stay close to the other 2 (that touch all the time). With only 3 types of BTA's I guess I can't say for sure its a warfare thing but they were doing great / growing before I started propagating them.
